England's Answer To Champagne

English wine is having a moment — but there is far more to the story than sparkling wine. Join us at Burnt House Vineyard for a series of relaxed, hosted evenings exploring the grapes, regions, producers and ideas shaping the English wine industry.

Time & Location

26 Nov 2026, 19:30 – 21:00

Burnt House Vineyard, Burnt House Vineyard, Bildeston Rd, Little Finborough, Stowmarket IP14 2LA, UK

About the event

English sparkling wine has rather made a name for itself. But there’s more to English fizz than popping a bottle at a wedding.

For this evening, we’re going properly into the bubbles and tasting five different styles of traditional-method English sparkling — from Non-Vintage and Vintage to Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and Rosé.

We’ll look at how they’re made, what makes each style different and why England’s cool climate and chalky soils have turned out to be such a good match for sparkling wine.

Expect five wines and a relaxed atmosphere alongside nibbles.

£40 per person | Five wines | Nibbles included | Approx. 90 minutes

Want to make a night of it? Book dinner in our Vineyard Kitchen before the tasting and join us afterwards for the wine evening. Dinner is booked separately and tables are subject to availability.
