Chalk, Clay & Coastline

English wine is having a moment — but there is far more to the story than sparkling wine. Join us at Burnt House Vineyard for a series of relaxed, hosted evenings exploring the grapes, regions, producers and ideas shaping the English wine industry.

Time & Location

12 Nov 2026, 19:30 – 21:00

Burnt House Vineyard, Burnt House Vineyard, Bildeston Rd, Little Finborough, Stowmarket IP14 2LA, UK

About the event

Wine doesn’t just come from grapes. It comes from a place.

For this tasting, we’re travelling around England to explore what happens when you change the soil, climate, landscape and location — and whether you can actually taste the difference.

From Suffolk and Essex to Kent, Hampshire and Devon, we’ll put five English wines side by side and explore what their different homes bring to the glass.

Expect chalk, clay, sea air, sunshine and a few opinions about terroir.

Expect five wines and a relaxed atmosphere alongside nibbles.

£35 per person | Five wines | Nibbles included | Approx. 90 minutes
