Bacchus & Friends
English wine is having a moment — but there is far more to the story than sparkling wine. Join us at Burnt House Vineyard for a series of relaxed, hosted evenings exploring the grapes, regions, producers and ideas shaping the English wine industry.

25 Feb 2027, 19:30 – 21:00
Burnt House Vineyard, Burnt House Vineyard, Bildeston Rd, Little Finborough, Stowmarket IP14 2LA, UK
About the event
If English wine had a signature grape, Bacchus would have a pretty good claim to the title.
Fresh, aromatic and wonderfully suited to our cooler climate, Bacchus has become one of the grapes that has helped put English still wine on the map.
But not all Bacchus tastes the same. We’ll taste five examples from different producers and regions, including a semi-sweet expression and a multi-variety field blend, to explore how vineyard, region and winemaking can change what’s in the glass.
And yes, we’ll be putting Burnt House Bacchus into the mix.
£35 per person | Five wines | Nibbles included | Approx. 90 minutes
Want to make a night of it? Book dinner in our Vineyard Kitchen before the tasting and join us afterwards for the wine evening. Dinner is booked separately and tables are subject to availability.
